Collegiate Council

The Collegiate Council is a group of young professionals in the Boston area who are passionate about education. The Council helps Boston Collegiate by fundraising for and administering the Edward M. Kennedy Scholarship for Alumni, educating their networks about what we do here, participating in the Career Symposium, and using their areas of expertise to help Boston Collegiate with data and other projects.

Kelly Murphy, Co-Chair

The District Management Council, Boston, MA

Kelly is a Senior Associate at The District Management Council, a consulting firm that works with public school districts across the country with a focus on improving student outcomes, operational efficiency, and resource allocation.  Previously, she worked at Cambridge Associates as a Senior Consulting Associate, where she advised clients on their investment portfolios, with a focus on universities, foundations, and healthcare institutions.  Kelly is an alum of the Education Pioneers Analyst Fellowship and a graduate of Colgate University.

Alyssa Schechter, Co-Chair

Empower Schools, Boston, MA

Alyssa is currently an MBA candidate at Harvard Business School, where she serves as a vice-chair in the Education Interest Group.  Previously, Alyssa spent three years consulting at Bain & Company helping for-profit and non-profit clients prioritize growth opportunities, use resources more efficiently, and tailor their organizational structures to align with their strategic goals.   She also took a leave of absence from Bain to join the Education Pioneers Southern Region team as a Strategy Analyst, supporting operations in Tennessee, Texas, Louisiana, and Washington, DC.  Alyssa is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

Suzanne Bay

Parthenon - EY, Boston, MA

Suzanne is an Associate Consultant at Parthenon, a global management consulting firm based in the Financial District. While at Parthenon she has worked across industries, including K-12 management organizations, non-profit foundations and funders, and higher education institutions. Prior to Parthenon, Suzanne worked at Penn Foster and is a licensed middle and secondary math teacher. Suzanne is a graduate of Duke University with a B.S. in Mathematics and Environmental Science. She also volunteers with Inspire, a non-profit consulting group that focuses on education and youth development organizations.

Jessica Benjamin

EverTrue, Boston, MA

Jessica Benjamin is the Marketing Communications Specialist at EverTrue. She joined the Council after hosting BCCS students at Cone Communications through the winter internship program. Jessica graduated from Tulane University with a B.A. in communications and political science. She was a member of the Katrina Class – the class displaced by Hurricane Katrina in their Freshman year. She returned to New Orleans six months after the storm and participated in many volunteer opportunities to help get the city back on its feet.

Haley Brown

Cambridge Associates, Boston, MA

Haley is an Investment Associate at Cambridge Associates, a leading global investment firm serving non-profit institutions, pension plans, and private clients.  She is part of the firm's Endowments & Foundations group, focusing primairly on the investment portfolios of university endowments, as well as foundations and other non-profit organizations.

Colin Cinder

Cambridge Associates, Boston, MA

Colin is an Investment Associate at Cambridge Associates, a leading global investment firm serving non-profit institutions, pension plans, and private clients.  He is a member of the pension practice, but works with a range of client types including pensions, endowments, foundations, and corporate funds.  Colin attended Boston College, where he graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Economics in 2015.

Caroline Estill

Parthenon - EY, Boston, MA

Caroline is in her first year as an Associate at Parthenon-EY, a global strategy consulting firm based in the Financial District.  At Parthenon-EY, she has primarily focused within the firm's Education Practice.  Caroline graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Government and Arabic.  While at Darmouth, she was a member of the women's rowing team.  In addition to her work with BCCS, she volunteers with Inspire, a non-profit consulting group that focuses on education and youth development organizations.

Ashley Hlastava

Bain & Company, Boston, MA

Ashley is an analyst on the Global Strategy and Operations team at Bain & Company, a global management consulting firm.  Previously, she spent three years in Bain's Human Capital group, where she led a number of projects focused on culture and retention, helping the company maintain its position as a "Best Place to Work."  In addition to working with BCCS, she is an active volunteer with Main Street Partners, a non-profit small business accelerator.  Ashley is a graduate of Boston College.

Kate LeClair

RA Capital Management, Boston, MA

Kate is a manager at RA Capital Management, a healthcare crossover fund based in Boston's Back Bay.  At RA, she is primarily focused on managing investor relationships and operations.  Previously, she worked at HighVista Strategies and Cambridge Associates in Boston and at an investment bank in San Francisco.  In addition to her work with BCCS, she volunteers in the pediatric unit at Massachusetts General Hospital.  She received a B.A. in International Studies from Miami University.

Meryl McLeallan

Cambridge Associates, Boston, MA

Meryl is a campus recruiter at Cambridge Associates, a leading global investment firm serving non-profit institutions, pension plans, and private clients.  In this role, she partners with target universities across the U.S. to attract and recruit top talent to join the firm.  Previously, Meryl spent three years at John Hancock, where she held positions in both Investments and Global Recruiting.  Meryl is a graduate of the University of Maine.  After volunteering at a BCCS student engagement event, Meryl became invested in the mission and is excited to serve on the BCCS Collegiate Council!

Dina Model

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals,, Cambridge, MA

Dina is a manager in Business Planning & Analysis at Alnylam, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company leading the translation of RNAi into a new class of innovative medicines.  At Alnylam, Dina is responsible for the financial management of multiple drugs at various stages of development.  Previously, Dina worked in Business Development at Baxalta and in investment banking at Miller Buckfire, a division of Stifel Financial.  Dina received her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and her B.S. in Finance and a minor in Psychology from New York University.

Matt Roper

Harvard University, Cambridge, MA

Matt is the Financial Administrator for the Phillips Brooks House at Harvard University and is responsible for the management of finances for offices/organizations supported by the Phillips Brooks House.  He also assumes primary responsibility for financial matters of the Phillips Brooks House Association as a separately incorporated 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.  Prior to joining Harvard, Matt worked for Partners in Health as the Manager of Financial Operations focused on building and improving financial processes and systems for the global finance team and is an alumni of the Education Pioneers Graduate School Fellowship.  Matt is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the Boston University School of Management.

Jason Tedeschi

Century Equity Partners, Boston, MA

Jason is an associate at Century Equity Partners, a middle market private equity firm focused on investing in financial services companies.  Prior to joining Century, Jason was a Senior Manager in the Corporate Development group at Wayfair, a publicy traded internet company.  While at Wayfair, he was involved with mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, and investor relations.  Previously, Jason held technology investment banking positions at Cowen & Company and AGC Partners.  Jason earned his B.A. from Trinity College with a double major in Economics and Public Policy & Law.

Sarah Wooden

Analysis Group, Boston, MA

Sarah is an Associate at Analysis Group, an economic, financial, and strategic consulting firm.  She works across industries with a focus on financial institutions and healthcare.  Previously, she worked as a Senior Consulting Associate at Cambridge Associates, where she advised endowments, hospitals, and non-profits on their investment portfolios.  Sarah received her M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in 2016 and holds a B.A. from Bucknell University. 

Myles Wynn

New Heritage Capital, Boston, MA

Myles is an Associate at Heritage, a middle market private equity group investing in family- and founder-owned businesses. At Heritage he is responsible for due diligence, deal execution, and portfolio management. Prior to New Heritage, he managed consumer research for Metrolina Greenhouses, a family-owned live goods wholesaler. Myles is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
