Boston Collegiate is Growing
In August of 2010 Boston Collegiate opened a second campus at 215 Sydney Street in Dorchester. The growth to a second campus will allow Boston Collegiate to offer 240 more students in the city a Boston Collegiate education. The expansion project means that Boston Collegiate is now housed on two Dorchester campuses: a smaller campus for the Lower School, grades 5-6, located at 215 Sydney Street, and a Middle School and High School campus at our previously existing location on 11 Mayhew Street. Ultimately, Boston Collegiate will have a student body of over 600 students with 200 in the Lower School and over 400 students in the Middle and High School.
215 Sydney Street is a ten-minute walk from the Mayhew Street campus, close enough to share resources and operate as a strong 5-12 school community. The building, a former piano and organ factory, was renovated to create ten classrooms, an assembly space, a computer lab, and offices for teachers and staff.
