For Donors & Supporters

Boston Collegiate benefits from the support and commitment of the greater Boston community to achieve our simple yet ambitious mission: to prepare each student for college. We ask a lot of our families, students, and staff to create and sustain a high-performing public school. We are able to provide our students with additional academic support and enrichment opportunities because of the support of community members throughout greater Boston.

Participate in an After-School Club

Whether your passion is math, robotics, finance, dance, or reading, we have a club
for you! Let us know what your interests are and we’ll match you with an existing
club, or you can start your own.

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours weekly

We rely on Saturday morning tutors to support our students who need extra
homework help. We can match you with any age group and any area of study.
This is a great way to build a relationship with an individual student.

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours any Saturday

Boys Club Mentor

Male volunteers can mentor young men, ages 10 to 12 years, as part of our
afterschool Boys Club. Help the young men of Boston Collegiate learn about
what it takes to be a gentleman while engaging in various field trips and activities.

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours weekly

Mentor a Student
If you would like to build a one-on-one relationship with a student, we can work
with you to set up your mentorship model.

Time Commitment: Varies

Career Symposium Participant
Help our 11th graders hone their social skills by attending an evening event that encourages them to meet professionals in a variety of industries and practice how to engage thoughtfully and intelligently. Organized as a networking event, volunteers need only to attend and converse with students.

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours on day of Career Symposium (October)

Science Fair Judge
Whether you have experience in the sciences or not, come listen to 6th grade students as they discuss their experiments. Judge their ability to research, think creatively, and present their findings.

Time Commitment: 1½-2 hours on the evening of Thursday, May 14th, 2015

Participate in Job Shadow Day

Host a group of 10th grade students for a half-day session at your place of work. Share with them what a typical day looks like for you and your colleagues, talk about the work of your organization, and expose them to a real-world work environment.

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours in the morning and/or afternoon of Wednesday, May 27th, 2015

Junior Internship Host
Sponsor one of our 11th grade students for a two-week internship. Provide real-life work experience in a professional setting and the opportunity for a student to explore his/her interest in your field of work.

Time Commitment: 2 weeks in January

Participate in 6th Grade Career and Conversations

Engage in roundtable discussions with small groups of students and talk about what you do for work and how your educational experience prepared you for your career.

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours in May

Garden Help

Come afterschool or during lunch and help sustain our campus gardens. Work alongside our students as they split perennials, plant bulbs, mulch, weed, and more to ensure our gardens stay beautiful.
