The Collegiate Connectors

In 2008, Boston Collegiate established a new parent-led group, the Collegiate Connectors, to provide an avenue for families to regularly connect to the school beyond academics. We encourage our families to support the activities and events that have become traditions at Boston Collegiate and to create new ones that may soon become traditions!

Collegiate Connectors:

  • Sponsor fundraisers
  • Lead volunteer efforts at school-wide events
  • Organize previously owned uniforms for families
  • Host parenting workshops
  • Plan teacher appreciation acknowledgements
  • Plan any other activities that parents are interested in starting

The Collegiate Connectors meet in the evening at the school once a month. Check the school calendar for the next meeting date. If you are interested in joining the Collegiate Connectors, please email collegiateconnectors@gmail.com.

Family Events

Boston Collegiate hosts several whole-school events throughout the year to bring families together, to foster a sense of community, and to celebrate student achievements. These events allow families to meet one another, to join together with school staff, and to get a window onto the hard work that students do every day to prepare themselves for college.

Over the course of the school year, families help to plan and orchestrate events such as: Fall Open House; 5th Grade Gingerbread House Decorations; School Dances; High School Career Symposium; Winter Holiday Celebration; Science Fair; Book Fair; 8th Grade Celebration; High School Semi-Formal; Poetry Slam/Musicpalooza, New Family Orientation; and, New Family Welcome Dinner.

BCCS Family Listserv

Our parent group, the Collegiate Connectors, maintains a database of parent email addresses in order to keep families informed of school-wide events, important grade-specific deadlines, community events, and other BCCS information.

We strongly encourage parents to join the parent listserv. To join, simply contact collegiateconnectors@gmail.com. This is a great way for you to receive constant updates and information via email from the school.

Family Newsletter

The school sends home a family newsletter every other week as well as periodic Principal Updates, detailing upcoming events, addressing whole-school issues, showcasing student work, and celebrating accomplishments.  The latest family bi-weekly updates can be downloaded through the "Quick Links" on the left-hand toolbar.

Open Lines of Communication

Each teacher and administrator has a phone line, voice mail, and e-mail so that she or he is readily accessible to parents and can communicate regularly regarding students' progress and well-being. Click here to find our teachers' contact information.

If your contact information has changed, please contact Nicole Toon to ensure that the school has consistent communication with you.
