Support the BCCS Lower School Farm School Trip!
The BCCS Lower School is fundraising for its annual trip to the Farm School. Approximately 30 fifth and sixth graders will head to Athol, MA in May to learn about working together to reach a desired goal - while getting a little dirty in the process! City of Boston Awarded Gates Foundation Grant
We are excited to share the news that yesterday the City of Boston was selected as one of seven cities nationwide to receive a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to support collaboration between charter, district, and Catholic schools. BCCS has always had a deep commitment to partnering and collaborating with other schools to fulfill our charge as a charter school and to have an impact beyond our four walls. In all of the local press on the Gates Foundation grant, including The Boston Globe and Boston Business Journal, BCCS’s One Dorchester partnership with two other Dorchester high schools is held up as an example of our city’s commitment to collaboration. We feel fortunate to be a pioneer in this work, and we look forward to continuing to do our part to strengthen all of our city’s schools while continuing to learn and grow ourselves as we strive to put every student on the path to college.
